Where does the Baltimore Senior Advisor directory come from?
Every listing comes from bulk public records: Maryland's Office of Health Care Quality licensee directories, the Maryland Health Care Commission's consumer guide, and CMS Care Compare for nursing homes. We do not accept paid listings and we do not rate facilities.
The directory covers 934 assisted living programs, 107 nursing homes, 81 adult medical day care centers, 24 home health agencies and 11 hospices. 107 of the larger facilities have their own profile page built from the same data.

What does each directory field mean, and what is missing?
Licensed beds, level of care and license number come from OHCQ; rates, Medicaid waiver participation and secure-unit status come from MHCC self-reports; star ratings, survey dates, deficiency counts, staffing and fines for nursing homes come from CMS.
Two gaps are worth knowing. OHCQ does not publish license expiration dates or assisted living inspection results in bulk, so "active" means the program is on OHCQ's current directory. And OHCQ's Notice of Final Action page (licensed and unlicensed assisted living providers) listed no entries when checked on October 28, 2026. To see an assisted living survey, ask the program or call OHCQ's assisted living unit at (410) 402-8217.
How do I sort and filter the directory tables?
Click any column heading to sort -- by beds, CMS rating, deficiencies, rate or name -- and use the filter bar above each table to narrow by county, level of care, memory care, Medicaid waiver status, minimum size or minimum CMS stars, or to search by name and street.
The filters run in your browser, so nothing is sent anywhere. The count under the filter bar shows how many rows match. Town and ZIP pages use the same sortable tables for just that area.
Why do some facilities have their own page and others do not?
A facility gets its own page only when the public record supports one: every CMS-certified nursing home, because CMS publishes ratings, citations, staffing and fines, and assisted living programs with 30 or more beds that keep an MHCC profile with rates and services.
Small homes appear as full rows -- license, beds, level, memory-care and waiver status -- on their town or ZIP page and in the directory tables, rather than as thin pages with little to say.
Is this directory the same as a review site?
No -- there are no reviews or rankings here, only state and federal records.

| Every licensed program, including small homes | Only programs that pay |
